The oikos-winterschool starts again!

In the past few months, I worked with an amazing team of international Bachelor and Master students of Universität Witten/Herdecke and oikos Witten/Herdecke e.V. to create a super engaging and empowering program for people who would like to go from the talking to the making.

It is open for students of all programs and people, who want to feel some uni-vibes ;-)

I can assure you it will be moving and ... agency creating 💪 😊

COMMUNITY CALL ON CREATIVITY FOR FUTURE

CREATIVITY FOR FUTURE: HOW CAN WE WORK ON THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL FOR THE FUTURE?

We will also talk about co-creation and cross-innovation, two central aspects of creative problem-solving. Claudia will guide us through an exercise, where we will learn how to connect with creative energy – everywhere and anytime.

Facilitators:
The call will be hosted by Diana Oser, collaboratio helvetica's community fairy together with our guest Claudia Rinke. Invitation to our next Free Online Workshop: Leadership in a changing and complex world

  Monday, 20 Nov. 2023 from 16:00 to 17:30

A guest speaker at a seminar we recently facilitated shared his own definition of VUCA: “Having a Vision, knowing your USP (unique selling proposition), taking Chances, and having Ambition.”

Being aware that the world we live in is increasingly complex is one thing. It is quite another thing to live the strategies and practices to respond to it at an individual, team and organisational level. We explore the latter in our workshop: How can we bridge our vision and purpose with our daily work? How can we identify risks and opportunities in what can sometimes feel an overwhelming environment? And how can we bring our unique strengths to the process?

Join us on Zoom for a free workshop on “Leadership in a changing and complex world”. Over 90 minutes we will:

  • explore tools and models from systems thinking to make sense of a changing and complex world,

  • learn about practices and tips that you can use yourself and in your team on a daily or regular basis,

  • invite you to share your own experiences and hear from others from around the world.

This workshop also provides an opportunity to learn more about what Unity Effect offers in the areas of leadership development, organisational learning, and regenerative measurement and evaluation.

This is a free, public workshop. We especially welcome those working in purpose- and vision-driven organisations, such as foundations, development agencies, social enterprises or impact networks. Whether you’re a leader, team member, or simply curious to explore the topic, we invite you to join us — and would love to learn from your experiences too!

You don’t need any prior knowledge to attend the workshop. Just bring your curiosity, and ideally join us from somewhere you can speak during breakouts.

We look forward to welcoming you!

The Unity Effect Team

Free Online Workshop: Leadership in a changing and complex world

Join us to explore methods, tools and tips for systems thinking to make sense of a changing and complex world, and team and leadership practices.

January Community Call

Leading Positive Change: The Power of Stakeholder Engagement

Driving positive change is crucial for our society to thrive sustainably on a habitable planet. The required efforts to achieve these goals will need to happen in all the layers of society – companies included. At the same time, leading change within a company demands a lot of courage and persistence, with the added challenge of convincing employees to support and embrace the necessary changes. How can we best approach these challenges?

In this community call, Julia Bodin, founder of Let's Talk Waste, will share insights on how stakeholder engagement was a key element of success in the collaboration with Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling, a company who committed to achieve zero plastic waste in their operations by 2025 .

Facilitators:
The call will be hosted by Kaspar Paur, collaboratio helvetica's key account lead with catalyst, and founder of Let's Talk Waste, Julia Bodin. Let's Talk Waste is a project that empowers employees to actively engage and work on waste reduction, and related topics. Since 2018, Julia educates, empowers and co-strategizes with employees of companies who are looking to either raise awareness of the impact of waste and plastic pollution and/or who have a specific goal in mind to reduce waste production at their location.

Who can join the call?

Reflections on Youth4Switzerland: What drives young changemakers of today?

In this call, we are going to delve into the heart of the Youth4Switzerland project, a one-year-long initiative by collaboratio helvetica, dedicated to nurturing youth involvement for a sustainable future and empowering young changemakers in different ways. Our guest Loukina Tille, Catalyst, former team member and co-lead of Youth4Switzerland, will discuss how the initiative came about, and share the hurdles she encountered as well as the successes she achieved. Last but not least, we will have the opportunity to talk about Loukina’s journey as a young changemaker in Switzerland, and how she navigates the complexities of today’s challenges.

Facilitators:
The call will be hosted by Diana Oser, collaboratio helvetica’s community fairy, Katalin Hausel from collaboratio helvetica, who mentored and co-facilitated the project, and our guest Loukina Tille, Catalyst, former team member and co-lead of the Youth4Switzerland project from 2022 until 2023.
Loukina Tille is a political science student at the University of Zurich. She has been active in the Climate Strike movement where she was involved in the organisation of SMILE in August 2019, which brought together 400 young climate activists from 38 countries, and other events. She wants to deepen her understanding of system change and practice it. For that reason, she is involved in different projects; the Fossil Fuel Treaty, in the student association of political scientists and as a firekeeper at the World Ethic Forum.

Community Call - Intro to Conflict Transformation: How can understanding the root causes of conflict support system change?

In this call, we will explore how our nervous system plays a crucial role in the transformation of conflicts. Conflict is never ‘out there’ - it always starts ‘in here’: as an inner experience of emotional overload, of ‘too much’. This call is based on a modern, nervous system-based and trauma-informed approach to conflict transformation. You will learn to breathe more deeply in conflict situations and to integrate your own emotional experiences in a sustainable way. This helps you to first be there "for yourself" in a conflict. Only then can you really be there for others. In this way, you become the change you want to see in the world. What previously appeared to be a conflict becomes a challenge to which you can respond in a mature and flexible way. Where before you could only react, now you have a choice.

In this call, you will get an introduction to:

-  Neurobiological foundations of conflict

- Loop of Common Sense: a practical conflict intervention tool

- Co-regulation: the integration of negative emotions in conflict

- Conflict transformation in the organic speed of the nervous system

Register here: https://collaboratiohelvetica.ch/event-agenda/community-calls-24-12-17

The call will be hosted by Diana Oser, collaboratio helvetica’s community & partnership coordinator, and our guest Daniel Remigius Auf der Mauer.

Daniel Remigius Auf der Mauer is the founder of nervous system-based and trauma-informed conflict transformation. Since 2021, he has been providing highly acclaimed training and education courses that address the emotional core causes of crises. He also develops and leads structured group processes for the integration of collective trauma. In doing so, he creates a unique synthesis between profound practical transformation and modern scientific knowledge. From January 2021 to March 2024, more than 1400 participants have attended Daniel's trainings. This has created a committed community of people who actively support each other in the emotional processing of individual and collective overload.

Who can join the call? Everyone interested in learning more about the topic is warmly welcome to join the call. Don’t hesitate to invite your friends and whomever you feel would benefit from this call.

When: December 17, 18:00-19:30 CEST

Motivierte Menschen finden!
